Sara Andon
Flutist Sara Andon is an international soloist and recording artist known for her ravishing tone and deeply engaging musical interpretations. A versatile performer in many music genres including solo, chamber, symphonic, opera, ballet, new music, jazz and Broadway, she has performed all over the world in major concert venues, TV and radio broadcasts, as well as on countless motion picture soundtracks, TV, video games and documentaries. Her new solo album "Cinema Morricone: An Intimate Celebration" was recently released on Sony Classical to rave reviews. She regularly premieres concert works for solo flute and orchestra in her home base of Los Angeles and all over the globe, music of iconic film composers as well as cutting edge new concert pieces for flutes of all kinds. Andon is also the solo flutist with the acclaimed, contemporary music ensemble Brightwork New Music. A graduate from USC Thornton School of Music and Yale University, she is also currently the Artist Teacher of Flute at the University of Redlands School of Music and the Idyllwild Arts Academy.
